Automatic Best Available Data

In map view, depending on the data souce, data is not always available for graphing. However, with the graphs above, a blended view from high precision to low precision data sources is automatically created over time.

Couldn’t there be a best available data source for map view independent of any particular data source? Perhaps a separate selection, “best available” or “precision ordered” as a data source option. Automatically switching data sources when scrolling througn time.

Not sure if I’ve misunderstood your question, but the data on the map does changes in the same way the graphs do. So if you see ICON and GFS in the graph, you’ll see that same transition on the map.

That some (or any) data is unavailable for display (i.e., grayed out) on the map would indicate that not all data is selected from the best available.

The bottom row of icons to display data on the map frequently says unavailable in this view (i.e., from the selected data source). The top graphs does show a hybrid mix from best available data sources.

some data is just not available as a particular area just doesn’t provide such data and if you Grey it out on the map it could interfere with other data. there is no best data source just some might show rain while others won’t that’s why you can compare different ones.

I’m not sure if I understand what you mean. Can you give an example and some screenshots maybe?

the graphs provide the same data from the same data sources as the maps. at times data sources for example CMC might show rain while GFS won’t doesn’t mean CMC is better. I’ve had rain here when it didn’t show on any data sources and just the opposite data sources showing rain and it was dry.
