Would love to be able to draw state borders on top of the map data. Would greatly help when there is a lot of data being displayed, especially when displaying both precipitation and clouds.

This is on the list but what I really want to do is use vector maps which will allow pretty much any display to be customizable, e.g., place names, rivers, major highways, state lines, etc… on the top layer. It’ll be totally up to you. But it’s a big job to get that going.
